Senior Data Analyst - Power BI

About the role

Versent is looking for a Senior Data Analyst with strong Power BI capability to join its growing team in Melbourne. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to design reporting solutions, build dashboards and turn complex data into meaningful insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and translate business requirements into scalable data and reporting solutions
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Build robust data models and deliver actionable insights for stakeholders
• Provide Power BI administration, support and troubleshooting
• Develop and optimise DAX calculations and Power Query transformations
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data needs
• Produce clear documentation and technical artefacts
• Continuously improve reporting, data quality and analytics capabilities

Required profile

• Strong Power BI development experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability

Required skills

• DAX and Power Query
• Bonus: SQL and data modelling
• Bonus: Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or dbt
• Bonus: GitHub and CI/CD practices, data engineering concepts and modern analytics platforms
