Senior Cybersecurity Analyst – Sydney

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to lead and strengthen our security operations in Sydney. This hands‑on position will guide the local SOC, align security practices with Australian regulations, and ensure consistency with global frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee SOC triage activities, manage security alerts and escalations.
• Investigate, resolve and document security incidents.
• Align security processes with NIST, ISP and evolving Australian regulations.
• Collaborate with IT and global teams (Vancouver) on security initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to a Cybersecurity Analyst and act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Evaluate, tune and improve security tools such as Zscaler, Microsoft security stack and Check Point.
• Conduct risk assessments and support vulnerability management programs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security or SOC environments.
• Strong technical background in IT infrastructure and security operations.
• Hands‑on experience with incident response and escalation management.
• Familiarity with NIST and ISP frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and lead local security initiatives.
