Senior Cultural Heritage Officer

About the role

Stellar Recruitment is recruiting two Senior Cultural Heritage Officers to support major infrastructure projects across South East Queensland, based on the Sunshine Coast. The role provides specialist cultural heritage advice and supports project teams from planning through to delivery, working with project teams, Traditional Owner groups and other stakeholders to meet legislative and cultural heritage obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cultural heritage advice across multiple infrastructure projects
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups and key stakeholders
• Undertake cultural heritage assessments and prepare reports, management plans and agreements
• Support compliance with relevant legislation, policies and cultural heritage requirements
• Take part in field surveys, monitoring activities, inspections and audits

Required profile

• Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Cultural Heritage Management or a related discipline
• Experience in cultural heritage management within infrastructure, construction, transport, resources, utilities or similar sectors
• Experience preparing cultural heritage assessments, reports and management documentation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Current driver's licence and White Card (or ability to obtain one)
