Senior Cost Manager – Data Centres, Retail, Education & Defense

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager/Associate to lead cost management for data centre, retail, education and defence projects in Perth. The role involves producing feasibility studies, cost planning, tendering, post‑contract cost control and reporting to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce feasibility studies and procurement reports.
• Develop cost plans, estimate and present final cost plans.
• Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre‑qualification, tender analysis and contractual documentation.
• Control post‑contract cost variances, change control and progress claim assessments.
• Conduct cost checks, valuations and produce monthly post‑contract cost reports for client presentation.
• Input into value engineering and capture key learnings in the internal database.
• Identify business development opportunities and lead cost management teams where required.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5+ years of cost management experience, preferably in a consultancy role.
• Experience managing clients, contractors and consultants directly.
• Preferably RICS and AIQS accredited.
• Previous CostX experience is desirable.
• Intermediate to high level proficiency in MS Excel.
• Valid driving licence.
