Senior Contract Solutions Lawyer, APAC

About the role

Carta is seeking an experienced Contract Solutions Lawyer to join its Carta Law team in APAC. You will be the primary legal contact for investment fund and asset manager clients, handling high‑volume pre‑M&A contracts and leveraging AI‑driven tools.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute NDAs, NRLs, joinders and engagement letters at scale, meeting agreed service‑level agreements.
• Serve as day‑to‑day liaison for sophisticated fund and asset‑manager clients, building trusted advisor relationships.
• Maintain and evolve client‑specific contract playbooks to ensure consistency and quality.
• Mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, reviewing their work and fostering a high‑performing team culture.
• Utilise and improve Carta’s AI‑backed legal technology suite, identifying innovation opportunities.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle from initial review through execution and system logging.

Required profile

• Law degree and active licence to practice in any APAC jurisdiction, the UK, US or Canada with 5+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record of independently negotiating pre‑M&A contracts in a financial‑services legal environment.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to sophisticated investment fund and asset‑manager clients.
• Commercially minded with a knack for balancing legal risk against business objectives.
• Collaborative leader who mentors junior team members in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI‑backed contract review tools.
• Ability to review and negotiate contracts in Japanese, Korean or Mandarin (highly preferred).
