Senior Consultant – Workday Adaptive Planning

About the role

Lead Workday Adaptive Planning implementations and help shape outcomes before they become formal projects. Work at the forefront of the AI shift in planning, using Workday’s decision‑intelligence platform to enable conversational scenario testing and governed plan creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Adaptive Planning implementations, from discovery and design through testing, go‑live and adoption support.
• Design driver‑based budgeting, rolling forecasts, workforce and capital planning models that clients can own.
• Maintain scope, timeline, budget and risk while building trusted relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Coach clients to achieve their financial goals and share knowledge across the practice.
• Apply AI judiciously to automate planning cycles where it adds real value.
• Run discovery sessions with business leaders and translate insights into solution designs aligned with business objectives.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations that speak to client‑specific drivers and proof points.
• Shape estimates, scope and implementation approaches, and develop value cases around cycle‑time reduction, effort savings and accuracy improvements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience implementing, administering or deeply using Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Strong finance foundation covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Confidence to lead conversations with CFOs, financial controllers or FP&A leaders.
• Exposure to the front end of a sales cycle – demonstrations, discovery, scoping or value‑case development.
• Clear, direct communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand or Australia.
