Senior Consultant - Technology Risk - Operational Resilience

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for Technology Risk and Operational Resilience in its Sydney office (Warringah). You will use your passion for technology risk in financial services to help clients identify, assess and manage technology and operational risks, supporting audit and control assurance engagements and delivering risk and operational resilience advisory services to banking, insurance and wealth management clients. The role supports clients in meeting growing regulatory expectations on operational resilience, and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial audit teams by identifying financial reporting-related IT risks, evaluating ITGC design and operating effectiveness and testing application controls
• Contribute to control assurance engagements such as GS007, ASAE 3150, SOC 1 and SOC 2
• Provide technology risk services including regulatory compliance support (e.g. CPS 234, CPS 230) and help clients manage risks to information security and critical operations
• Give risk-based recommendations to strengthen clients' risk posture and embed information security and operational resilience in system design and operations

Required profile

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience in IT audit supporting external audits, control assurance and internal audit, and IT risk management strategies and techniques
• Understanding of operational resilience in financial services, including critical operations, tolerance for disruption and third-party dependency risks
• Familiarity with prudential standards such as CPS 230 and CPS 234
• A result-oriented, client-focused mindset
