Senior Consultant - Technology Risk, Financial Services

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant in Technology Risk for its Financial Services practice in Warringah, Sydney. You will use your technology risk expertise and financial services experience to provide IT risk management services to banking, insurance and wealth management clients, working with them to develop and deliver Technology Risk Services. The role is hybrid, and flexible working with reduced hours may be possible.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial audit teams by identifying financial reporting-related IT risks, evaluating ITGC design and operating effectiveness and testing application controls
• Prepare control assurance reports such as GS007, ASAE 3150, SOC 1 and SOC 2
• Deliver technology risk services covering regulatory compliance, for example CPS 234 and CPS 230
• Identify, evaluate and manage risks arising from organisations' engagement with third parties

Required profile

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience in IT audit supporting external audits, controls assurance reports and internal auditing, and in IT risk management strategies and techniques
• A result-oriented, client-focused mindset
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on unfamiliar tasks

Ideally, candidates also have a passion for emerging technologies, strong communication skills and awareness of current IT trends and regulations.

• Salary of AUD 89,000 to 106,500 inclusive of superannuation, depending on skills, experience and location
