Senior Consultant - Strategic Procurement

About the role

Sedo Group is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead strategic procurement initiatives for its clients. Based in Melbourne, you will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with senior leaders and delivering advisory services that blend policy, commercial strategy, and social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support procurement advisory engagements for a range of clients.
• Design and manage complex sourcing processes, including RFx, EOI, RFT, RFP, negotiations and evaluations.
• Conduct comprehensive procurement assessments, analysing processes, data, trends and risks.
• Develop and implement strategic procurement frameworks, policies and market‑facing documentation.
• Translate government policy requirements into practical recommendations and support project delivery from strategy through implementation.
• Contribute to internal capability building, business development and the growth of Sedo Group’s strategic and social procurement offering.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement consulting or strategic sourcing, preferably within regulated or government‑focused environments.
• Strong analytical ability to assess procurement processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Demonstrated capability to lead complex sourcing events and deliver actionable recommendations.
