Senior Consultant - SMSF

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for its National SMSF team in Sydney. You will give expert advice on compliance and tax implications for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, manage client relationships and ensure adherence to regulations. This is a hybrid position, and roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advisory services on SMSF compliance and tax implications
• Assist clients with preparing and lodging tax returns and financial statements for SMSFs
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Mentor and train junior staff on SMSF management and tax compliance best practices

Required profile

• Experience working on self-managed superannuation funds
• Experience providing financial reporting and tax compliance services to clients
• Portfolio predominantly SMSF compliance and advisory work (about 60%-70%), with the rest Private Family tax work
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a chartered environment
• Willingness to work across multiple projects and clients, including high-net-worth individuals, large family groups, entrepreneurial start-ups and established private clients
