Senior Consultant - Site Investigation & Remediation

About the role

ERM is seeking Senior Contaminated Land Consultants to join its team in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide offices, supporting services in the mining, government and oil and gas sectors. The role suits an experienced consultant who wants to move into technical leadership, strategic direction and project management, and to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client needs and deliver sustainable outcomes and closures
• Lead sales efforts, including proactive business development, proposal writing and delivery
• Manage large, complex, multidisciplinary projects
• Produce, oversee and review the compilation of technical project reports
• Manage and mentor multiple project teams, and mentor the careers of junior consultants
• Use established internal and external networks to benefit ERM and client delivery

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in earth science, environmental science, engineering, planning or a related field
• 10+ years of consulting experience with contaminated sites, including the mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, infrastructure or development sectors in the WA market
• Preferred: existing client contacts and a sound knowledge of the Perth/WA market
• Understanding of local regulatory context and relationships with regulatory stakeholders
• Business acumen and a track record of winning large, strategic projects
• Proven experience mentoring and growing a team of consultants
• Authorisation to work in Australia
