Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a strong focus on automation. The role will drive secure, scalable, and automated cloud platforms while supporting on‑premises to AWS migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK for automated provisioning and configuration.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline/CodeBuild) following best practices.
• Support AWS landing zone implementation, multi‑account models and platform standardisation.
• Collaborate with application, security and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Participate in architecture reviews, governance frameworks and AWS best‑practice adoption.
• Plan, execute and optimise migration of on‑premises workloads to AWS using MGN, DMS and various migration strategies.
• Implement monitoring, logging, cost‑optimisation (FinOps) and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Strong experience with IaC (Terraform preferred) and configuration management (Ansible).
• Proficiency in automation scripting languages such as Python, Bash and PowerShell.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and GitOps delivery practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, hybrid connectivity and cost‑management in AWS.
