Senior Cloud Administrator

About the role

NSW Trustee and Guardian, a NSW government agency in the Communities and Justice portfolio, is hiring a Senior Cloud Administrator for its Project Delivery team within the Information Technology division. The role oversees day-to-day ICT operations, drives the development and optimisation of cloud infrastructure and leads improvements across the ICT environment, and is central to the agency's cloud transformation and Digital Plan. It is a full-time, ongoing vacancy of 35 hours per week, based in Sydney with flexible and hybrid working options.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical and system administration support across multiple platforms and locations.
• Lead and mentor Technical Support Administrators responsible for operational maintenance and continuity.
• Ensure day-to-day ICT operations run smoothly and securely.
• Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders on ICT projects and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to optimise ICT operations and drive efficiency.
• Support Microsoft O365 upgrades, enhancements and functionality, and advise on Microsoft Azure architecture changes and cloud optimisation.
• Maintain and enhance network and security systems.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• Extensive experience as a Senior Cloud Specialist with Microsoft Azure and O365 expertise.
• Proven ability to design, implement and optimise cloud solutions.
• Competency in designing and building solutions for the above platforms; networking and security experience highly regarded.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for complex cloud issues.
• On-call and/or after-hours roster participation may be required.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency is required for ongoing employment.
