Senior Business Banking Manager

About the role

The Senior Business Banking Manager drives new customer acquisition and increases Funds Under Management by delivering whole‑of‑business finance solutions to Australian SMEs. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with brokers, real estate agents, accountants and prospective business owners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain long‑term client relationships while growing critical customer portfolios.
• Provide value‑added financing solutions, manage risk and apply financial analysis to uncover insights.
• Collaborate with Business Unit teams and wider bank functions to support customer growth.
• Coach and motivate team members, leveraging understanding of individual motivations.
• Source new business, maximise existing relationships and increase overall effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven ability to maintain and leverage a deep network of broker and professional relationships.
• Experience driving structured sales rhythms and achieving strong sales momentum.
• Demonstrated use of data and insights to identify opportunities with existing and potential customers.
• Capability to manage onboarding of new‑to‑bank customers and ensure smooth handover to service teams.
