Senior Building Services Manager

About the role

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Building Services Manager to join its Unite32 team, which is delivering the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Venues Infrastructure Program. Laing O'Rourke was appointed by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) as the Delivery Partner, working with AECOM within the Unite32 consortium.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and delivery of building services across major infrastructure projects.
• Manage MEP design, construction integration and stakeholder engagement from planning through to completion.
• Drive safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes while mitigating project risks.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and delivery teams to optimise project performance.
• Champion innovation, constructability and best practice to ensure successful project outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing building services delivery across major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and their integration.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated ability to drive safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes.
• A proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
