Senior BIM Modeller - Fire / Hydraulics

About the role

AECOM's National Building Engineering team is looking for a Senior BIM Modeller with a strong Fire/Hydraulic background. The role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth, and involves providing Fire Protection and Hydraulic BIM modelling services to clients in Defence, Healthcare, Aviation, Education, Commercial and Civil Infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all BIM-related data requirements for projects throughout design and construction phases.
• Work with internal BIM Technicians and designers to produce drawings and models that meet clients' goals and project performance indicators.
• Produce accurate reports for discussion with the Design Manager and work with the project controls team to integrate project management systems.
• Use knowledge of model management, BIM coordination, clash detection and ISO19650 to run multidisciplinary coordination meetings.

Required profile

• Technical qualification from an approved TAFE or institution, or equivalent industry experience, with 5-10+ years in Fire Protection, Hydraulics or Building Services BIM modelling.
• Ability to chair workshops with BIM project stakeholders, with strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to create reports and VR presentations for clients.
• Prior experience in Hydraulic, Wet Fire Protection or Building Services is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience producing high-quality, data-rich Hydraulic models and documentation.
• Australian citizenship preferred, with current defence clearance highly regarded.

• Advanced Autodesk Revit (essential)
• Revizto, Navisworks, Dynamo and Power BI (highly regarded)
• BIM coordination, clash detection and ISO19650
