Senior Audit Lead – Technology & Information Security

About the role

The Senior Audit Lead – Technology & Information Security will join ANZ’s Technology & Information Security Centre of Audit, providing independent third‑line assurance over the bank’s technology, cyber‑security and information security environment. Reporting to the Audit Director, you will lead complex audits, engage senior stakeholders and help strengthen the overall control framework.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high‑risk technology and information security audit engagements across the Group, delivering independent assurance aligned with the Internal Audit Plan.
• Contribute to annual audit planning by providing specialist input on emerging cyber‑security threats, cloud and data risks, and regulatory developments.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls covering cloud, data, automation, operational resilience and technology governance.
• Apply data‑analytics and automation techniques to enhance audit testing and reporting, while mentoring team members.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology audit, cyber‑security, cloud or data risk within large, regulated organisations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple medium‑to‑high complexity audits and deliver results on time and budget.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior technology and business leaders.
• Background in banking, financial services or other regulated sectors is highly regarded.

Required skills

• CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CIA, CA or CPA certifications (or equivalent).
• Data analytics and automation tools for audit execution.
• Knowledge of technology risk frameworks (operational risk, cyber risk, compliance risk).
