Senior Assurance Manager – Personal Channels (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Senior Assurance Manager will provide first‑line risk management support to the Customer Engagement Hub (CEH) within Personal Channels. Acting as the primary risk and assurance contact, you will advise leadership teams to ensure safe operations, regulatory compliance, and delivery within the bank’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Execute a risk‑based assurance plan covering key Personal Channel processes, controls and customer journeys.
• Lead assurance reviews, assess control design and effectiveness, and identify gaps, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Produce evidence‑based findings, practical recommendations and high‑quality assurance reports for senior management.
• Provide independent challenge to risk management practices and identify thematic, root‑cause and systemic issues.
• Monitor remediation actions, support uplift activities to strengthen operational resilience, conduct, compliance and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Assurance Partners across the Group to ensure alignment on key risk matters.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in risk assurance or control assurance within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations for personal banking channels.
• Proven ability to work with senior leaders, influence decisions and drive remediation.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
