Senior Associate – External Auditor

About the role

PwC Private is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Associate to deliver high‑quality external audit services for privately owned businesses across multiple industries. You will work closely with audit managers, directors and client stakeholders to ensure financial reporting reliability and compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit fieldwork, including risk assessment and substantive testing.
• Prepare comprehensive audit documentation and support timely delivery of audit deliverables.
• Review financial records, reconcile account balances and test revenue and expense recognition.
• Assess internal controls, identify material misstatement risks and draft audit findings.
• Supervise and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and feedback.
• Engage directly with clients to gather evidence, discuss audit issues and resolve technical accounting matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Progress toward or completion of a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks (IFRS or local GAAP).
• Solid knowledge of financial statement analysis, accounting principles and audit procedures.
• Experience performing audit fieldwork and substantive testing.
