Senior Architect - Project Lead (Mixed-Use Residential)

About the role

COX, a design-focused architectural practice with studios in major Australian cities and Auckland, is looking for an experienced, project-leading Senior Architect to join its Sydney studio. The role contributes to ongoing and upcoming mixed-use projects combining residential and commercial components, within a team working on large-scale residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Help produce detailed drawings, plans, schedules and specifications as part of a team
• Work on small, medium and large projects, coordinating consultants, contractors and builders
• Attend client and subconsultant meetings and report back to the team
• Read, produce and amend development schedules for feasibility and coordination
• Lead the tender and construction documentation phase of projects
• Communicate design concepts through 2D and 3D drawings for presentations and reports
• Assist in preparing proposals and design documentation
• Manage and coordinate complex Revit files for large projects
• Support the Director with project documentation
• Oversee architectural graduates and coordinate submission schedules and deadlines

Required profile

• Master's degree in Architecture or a related field, registered with ARB or an equivalent overseas body
• 15+ years in construction documentation and leading tenders
• 15+ years on large-scale mixed-use or residential developments
• Experience delivering construction certificate documentation under the DBPA
• Demonstrated ability to lead a project team, strong negotiation and communication skills, and strong attention to detail

Required skills

• Strong Revit skills
• CAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
