Senior Analyst – Global Mobility Tax

About the role

Andersen is expanding its Global Mobility practice in Australia and seeks a Senior Analyst to join the Melbourne team. You will work directly with the Partner and senior leadership, delivering tax and advisory services to multinational corporations, private businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day client engagements and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Prepare Australian income tax returns for inbound and outbound expatriates.
• Prepare Fringe Benefits Tax returns and conduct related calculations.
• Develop hypothetical tax and tax equalisation calculations.
• Assist with Australian entry and exit tax briefings and advise on tax issues affecting internationally mobile employees.
• Handle shadow payroll matters and employer compliance obligations.
• Conduct technical research and produce written tax advice.
• Liaise with clients, assignees, HR teams and external advisers.
• Support Partners and Directors on advisory projects and contribute to practice development initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in Global Mobility, Expatriate Tax, Employment Tax, Individual Tax or a related area.
• Background in a Big 4, mid‑tier accounting firm, specialist mobility practice, law firm or the Australian Taxation Office.
• Strong knowledge of Australian income tax and experience preparing tax returns for internationally mobile employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of client outcomes.
