Senior Acoustic Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Acoustic Engineer to join its specialist Acoustics team. You will work on high‑profile projects across Australia and the Asia‑Pacific region, delivering acoustic solutions that enhance both architectural and environmental soundscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead acoustic design for buildings, addressing sound privacy, reverberation, and noise control.
• Support environmental noise assessments and ensure compliance for infrastructure and energy projects.
• Provide independent technical solutions and guide design decisions.
• Mentor and train graduate and junior engineers, building team capability.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated acoustic outcomes.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and modelling outputs using industry‑standard tools.
• Contribute to major projects such as data centres, battery energy storage, and transport infrastructure.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of experience in acoustic engineering.
• Proven ability to work in technically challenging environments.
• Passion for creating spaces that sound as good as they look.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
