Senior Accountant – Public Practice

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our established public practice team in inner Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to work with larger clients and deliver high‑quality tax and accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
• Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Provide complex tax advice covering Division 7A, Section 109, UPE, FBT, CGT, payroll tax and other specialised areas.
• Manage QBCC Minimum Financial Requirements, Instant Asset Write‑Off, Backing Business Investment accelerated depreciation, company loss carry‑back and Personal Services Income matters.
• Assist with group structures, inter‑entity taxation issues and ASIC corporate secretarial services.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion).
• Minimum 5 years public practice experience in Australia.
• Demonstrated experience with trusts, financial statements, taxation returns, BAS and IAS.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range $95,000‑$135,000 AUD, commensurate with experience.
