Senior Accountant

About the role

NVRO Metals is seeking a Senior Accountant to partner with the CFO in supporting its expanding international operations in the critical minerals sector. The role is based in Perth or Darwin with a hybrid working arrangement and offers a competitive salary package.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end and year‑end close processes across all Group entities, including consolidation of foreign subsidiaries.
• Manage foreign currency translation, FX revaluations and consolidation eliminations in line with IFRS/AASB.
• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts with variance analysis and commentary for the CFO.
• Maintain the Group chart of accounts and ensure mapping consistency across entities.
• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements under Canadian GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead the external audit process as the primary point of contact for auditors.
• Coordinate Group income tax compliance and manage the R&D Tax Incentive claim process.
• Oversee GST/BAS, VAT and other indirect tax returns.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting, multi‑currency bank account management and treasury workflows.
• Design and maintain the Group’s internal control framework and finance procedures.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (essential).
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or corporate reporting.
• Experience in mining, resources, engineering or related industrial sectors is highly regarded.
