Senior Accountant

About the role

Moore Australia (WA) Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join its growing Tax and Business Advisory division. The role offers the opportunity to work with small business and personal tax clients while contributing to a collaborative, client‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for small business and personal clients.
• Assist and mentor junior team members in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
• Conduct client meetings and provide tax planning, research and advisory support to directors and managers.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes to accounting standards, tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to a supportive workplace culture.
• Network to strengthen the Moore brand and maintain client relationships.

Required profile

• Degree qualified – Bachelor of Commerce, Business or equivalent.
• CA or CPA qualification attained or nearing completion.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
• Ability to prepare complex income tax returns and mentor junior staff.
• National police clearance (within six months) and Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience with MYOB and Xero accounting software.
