Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our boutique public‑practice firm. You will manage a portfolio of small‑to‑medium businesses, providing face‑to‑face, email and phone support while ensuring accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a book of client accounts (up to $15 million turnover).
• Conduct client meetings, respond to enquiries, and deliver proactive financial advice.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax filings and compliance documents.
• Utilise Xero and our AI‑enhanced tech stack to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold high service standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• CPA, CA, IPA qualification (in progress or completed) or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proven ability to support clients directly and build relationships.
• Positive, self‑motivated, trustworthy and team‑oriented.

Required skills

• Xero accounting software.
