Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

This senior accountant position supports a diverse portfolio within a privately owned business in Sydney CBD. You will own day‑to‑day finance operations while contributing to process improvements and broader commercial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end accounts, journals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial and cash‑flow reports.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance filings.
• Manage accounts payable, supplier payments and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and ensure general‑ledger accuracy.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts, loan balances and development costs.
• Process fortnightly payroll.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and support business initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an all‑round accountant.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong financial and management accounting experience across a broad finance function.
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
