About the role
MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is looking for a Security Officer to work at its client site in Weipa. The successful candidate provides customer service, access control and ID card issuance, and works a 24/7 roster.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct mobile and foot patrols, including locking up and unlocking infrastructure and gates
- Induct visitors and permit holders, and generate and issue access cards
- Manage and perform bag and vehicle searches to identify prohibited, restricted or unauthorised items
- Monitor CCTV visual displays to manage and identify unauthorised access
- Provide security support at client-supplied camp accommodation
Required profile
- Full Australian working rights
- Current Queensland security licence covering unarmed, crowd control and monitoring functions
- First aid and CPR certificate
- Unrestricted availability to work a 24/7 roster
Required skills
- Current full Queensland driver's licence
- Intermediate computer skills
