Security Officer - Indigenous Employment, Queensland Sites

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is looking for Security Officers to work onsite at various sites across Queensland. The role protects personnel, assets and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access management and a strong on-site presence. Key responsibilities

• Access control: monitor entry and exit points so only authorised personnel enter the site.
• Foot patrols: carry out regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.
• Stakeholder liaison: build rapport with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors while maintaining a strong security presence.
• Incident response: react promptly to alarms, emergencies or suspicious behaviour.
• Compliance monitoring: make sure site protocols and Defence security procedures are followed.
• Reporting and documentation: record incidents, shift activities and observations accurately.

Required profile

• No security licence required: MSS offers a scholarship program to complete a Cert II in Security Operations.
• Master Licence 41299 applies; return of service applies.
• Work is rostered and ongoing, onsite with a high-performing team and supportive leadership.
