Security Consultant - Microsoft Purview (Remote, Australia)

About the role

A growing team is looking for an experienced, technically proficient Security Consultant with strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview. Working remotely, you will advise clients on Microsoft Purview solutions and show the value of Microsoft's data governance, compliance and management capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in designing Microsoft Purview Information Protection and DLP solutions with business and information security teams
• Act as subject matter expert, giving expert recommendations and target designs
• Oversee implementation design and delivery so it is scalable, secure and aligned with Australian data governance and compliance requirements
• Design solutions covering DLP, data classification, compliance and information rights management
• Present to business leaders on data security and how Purview keeps them compliant
• Answer customer questions on complex integrations, security and compliance
• Produce technical documentation, diagrams and presentations
• Lead or take part in internal workshops and training
• Keep up with new Purview features and position the company as a thought leader

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years designing and deploying data security solutions, especially Microsoft Purview information protection
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering or a related field, or equivalent, with at least 5 years of IT or cyber security experience
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and with presales, delivery and engineering teams

• Microsoft Purview and its integration with other solutions
• Microsoft Azure services and architecture, data security and compliance
• Data governance: discovery, classification, lineage, privacy and retention
• Familiarity with Australian data security standards (APP, Essential 8, HIPAA) is an added value
• Cloud architecture, cloud security and data integration technologies
• Certifications: SC 401 or SC 100; optional CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CISM, SC 300, AZ 500, MS 500
