About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Science Teacher to join Geraldton Senior High School for an eight‑month fixed‑term position starting Term 2 2026. The role involves delivering engaging science programmes across lower and senior secondary years and contributing to a supportive, inclusive school culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Science lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Use data‑informed practices to improve student outcomes.
• Support whole‑school priorities such as student engagement and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Provide flexible timetabling by teaching Mathematics in lower secondary years when required.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering meaningful and engaging Science learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community.
• Willingness to teach Mathematics in addition to Science.
