School Crossing Supervisor

About the role

Frankston City Council's Safer Communities Department is seeking expressions of interest for a School Crossing Supervisor within its School Crossings team. This is a casual role working up to a maximum of 10 hours per week on school days, paid at $40.80 per hour plus industry allowance and superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate school crossings in accordance with VicRoads' Instructions for Children's Crossing Supervisors
• Consider traffic needs to ensure safe traffic flow and reduce congestion
• Attend training sessions as required

Required profile

• Availability to work morning and afternoon shifts during school terms, for a maximum of 2 hours per day
• Previous experience working with children or the general public
• Ability to endure outdoor weather conditions wearing appropriate PPE
• Ability to stand for a minimum of one hour twice per day
• Current mobile phone, Victorian driver's licence and a reliable vehicle
• Evidence of right to work in Australia, certified copies of qualifications, a current driver's licence and a Working with Children Check
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including a National Police Check, a Working with Children Check and a physical assessment for operating crossings
