Sales Development Representative – Sydney

About the role

Verkada is looking for a high‑energy Sales Development Representative to drive pipeline and generate new business opportunities for the Account Executive team in Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with Marketing and Sales, reporting to the Senior Manager of Market Development, and will be based full‑time in the Sydney office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily outbound cold calls to engage potential customers and identify prospects.
• Qualify leads, schedule appointments, and manage them through the sales pipeline to meet pipeline goals.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop strategies for exceeding pipeline targets.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments to strengthen prospecting efforts.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience in an outbound B2B sales role.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with prospects.
• Strong problem‑solving, objection handling and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required and willingness to work onsite five days a week.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sales/outreach methodologies and strategies.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills with an “inbox zero” mindset.
