Sales Development Representative

About the role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) identifies, validates, creates and qualifies new account opportunities for Veeam’s channel, inside and field sellers. Using phone, email, social media and chat, the SDR engages prospects, qualifies marketing‑generated demand and passes qualified opportunities to sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and reach out to additional personas within buying groups and share insights with sales.
• Generate new demand by qualifying marketing‑generated leads against established criteria.
• Conduct high‑volume outbound calls and multi‑touch outreach to predetermined prospect groups.
• Maintain prospect and opportunity data in Salesforce and ensure service‑level agreements are met.
• Participate in ongoing enablement covering product releases, marketing updates and sales methodology.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Previous sales experience, preferably in high‑tech products or services.
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Salesforce CRM.
• Outbound calling and social selling techniques.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn, Google, Hoovers and Outlook/Instant Messaging.
• Basic understanding of storage backup, cloud backup and related technologies.
