Sales Development Representative

About the role

Okta is seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive outbound prospecting and pipeline generation for its identity‑management solutions. The SDR will engage senior decision‑makers at enterprise accounts, qualify opportunities and set up sales‑ready meetings for the Account Executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage key decision‑makers within target enterprise accounts using multi‑channel outreach (calls, email, social selling, video).
• Qualify, nurture and convert prospects into high‑quality pipeline and sales‑ready meetings.
• Master Okta’s value proposition and articulate how its solutions address customer challenges.
• Partner with Account Executives, Field Marketing and Product Specialists to craft targeted campaigns and messaging.
• Utilise SaaS tools such as Salesforce, Outreach and other engagement platforms to track activity, manage the pipeline and derive insights.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified opportunities.
• Represent Okta at virtual and in‑person industry events to expand the network and uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in outbound sales prospecting and cold‑calling, with a hunter mentality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage senior‑level stakeholders.
• Self‑starter who can develop and execute strategic prospecting plans.
• Consultative selling approach with the ability to listen and uncover nuanced customer needs.
