Safety Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Safety Advisor to support the Malabar System Alliance’s wastewater infrastructure upgrades at the Liverpool and Glenfield sites. Reporting to the Alliance HSE Manager, you will work hands‑on with construction teams to embed a strong safety culture and protect all personnel on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Advise site teams on safe work practices and relevant legislation.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits and safety walks.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions and ongoing training.
• Maintain safety documentation, reporting systems and compliance records.
• Support subcontractors in meeting safety requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety performance across the project.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or a related field.
• Proven experience in a construction or infrastructure safety role.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Valid construction industry White Card and any relevant safety tickets.
