Risk & Compliance Manager

About the role

Stake is seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to join its Sydney team. In this hands‑on position you will embed risk and compliance practices across the business, ensuring that rapid growth is supported by robust controls and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate day‑to‑day risk and compliance processes, including review of marketing materials, customer communications and product launches.
• Own incident, issue and breach management from identification through resolution and post‑mortem improvement.
• Develop and maintain governance frameworks, control testing and assurance activities as the company scales.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Operations and Customer Success to embed risk considerations early in projects.
• Produce risk reporting and dashboards that give leadership clear visibility of emerging risks and trends.
• Conduct risk assessments for new products, third‑party relationships, privacy, AI and operational changes.
• Promote a risk‑aware culture through guidance, training and practical tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk and compliance within a financial services or regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
