Risk Analyst – Foreign Tax (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Westpac is seeking a Risk Analyst focused on Foreign Tax to join its Financial Crime Surveillance team in Adelaide. The role is a fixed‑term position until July 2027, beginning with an 8‑12 week accreditation and training program and moving to a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage risks related to international tax obligations such as FATCA, CRS and other cross‑border reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate client tax data and ensure compliance with global tax laws.
• Handle inbound and outbound customer calls, manage case loads, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Support decision‑making by analysing information and documenting findings.

Required profile

• Strong customer service experience, preferably with call handling.
• Experience or interest in banking/financial services.
• Investigative mindset with strong analytical abilities or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and manage a personal case load.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multiple computer systems and general IT literacy.
