Retail Security Officer - Tweed Heads

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is looking for a reliable permanent part-time Retail Security Officer to join its team at Tweed Mall in Tweed Heads, NSW. The role suits people with strong customer service skills who want to start a career in security. You will act as the first point of contact for retail staff and customers and provide a visible presence that helps keep the mall safe.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a strong, visible security presence to support retailers with loss prevention, safety and asset protection.
• Respond quickly and professionally to security incidents and escalate them when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and give directions to customers as required.
• Observe and promptly report incidents, completing clear and accurate documentation.
• Perform routine patrols throughout the centre, both internally and externally.

Required profile

• Full Australian working rights.
• Current NSW Security Licence.
• Certificate II in security operations (or higher).
• Current driver's licence.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster, including weekends.
