Retail Operations Manager

About the role

The Retail Operations Manager will lead a portfolio of high‑performing stores, driving commercial results, operational excellence and leadership development. Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will act as a trusted senior leader, influencing national retail strategy and supporting the broader network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a portfolio of stores to meet commercial and operational targets.
• Coach Area Managers and Store Managers to build capability and succession.
• Analyse sales data to identify productivity, profitability and customer experience improvements.
• Collaborate with Head Office functions such as People & Culture, Merchandise, Planning, Marketing and Visual Merchandising.
• Support rollout of national initiatives and operational enhancements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to multi‑site leaders across Australia.
• Represent retail operations in leadership meetings as required.
• Maintain high standards in customer experience, compliance, visual presentation and inventory management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large multi‑site retail operations (State Manager, Regional Manager or equivalent).
• Strong commercial acumen with proven responsibility for sales, profitability and operational performance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop high‑performing leadership teams.
• Confidence working with executive stakeholders and cross‑functional Head Office teams.
• Resilient decision‑maker in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Experience in fashion, apparel, lifestyle or specialty retail is highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel throughout NSW and interstate as needed.
