Responsible Manager – Part 145 Engineering

About the role

The Rex Group Engineering team is seeking an experienced 145 Responsible Manager to lead its Part 145 engineering base. This senior position balances technical oversight, people management, and delivery focus to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the assigned Part 145 engineering functions, including safety, manpower, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee local HR/industrial relations issues and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Act as the Alternate Accountable Manager for CASA submissions when required.
• Travel frequently to engineering sites to address frontline issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop a close‑knit team, ensuring deadlines are met in a high‑workload environment.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration at all organisational levels.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Leadership experience in engineering planning and project delivery.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of CASA Part 145 regulations and their practical application.
• Project management expertise, including multitasking and resource coordination.
