Resources and Infrastructure Lecturer

About the role

The Resources and Infrastructure Lecturer will join Batchelor Institute, Australia’s leading First Nations tertiary education and research provider. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality vocational education and training (VET) that aligns with the Institute’s Both‑ways principles.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver VET programs in civil construction, mining, manufacturing, engineering and automotive sectors.
• Ensure teaching practices reflect Indigenous cultural perspectives and Both‑ways pedagogy.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback and support pathways to industry employment.
• Collaborate with industry partners to keep curricula current and relevant.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Resources and Infrastructure work unit.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualifications and teaching experience in the listed technical areas.
• Demonstrated commitment to Indigenous education and culturally responsive teaching.
• Ability to develop innovative, industry‑aligned VET curricula.

Required skills

• Expertise in civil construction, mining, manufacturing, engineering or automotive disciplines.
