About the role

WeHI is looking for a Research Officer to join its Anaemia Research (Pasricha) Laboratory, Australia's pre-eminent biomedical research institute. The position supports a program of international studies in collaboration with icddr,b in Bangladesh, covering themes such as nutrition, child development and women's health.

Required profile

• A PhD qualification
• A close understanding of research in both Melbourne and icddr,b in Bangladesh
• An interest in women's and children's health and nutrition
• A proven ability to lead complex field research studies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work constructively in a team
• Attention to detail so that data, methods and theories are accurate, high quality and accessible to other researchers
• Effective time management and reliability

What we offer

• Full-time position with a salary of $107,194 - $115,059 (Research Employee Level A6-8)
