Research Nurse – Nephrology Clinical Trials

About the role

Join the Nephrology Clinical Trials team at John Hunter Hospital and help shape the future of kidney care through high‑quality clinical research. As a Registered Nurse you will provide patient‑centred care while supporting the delivery of rigorous nephrology studies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational support for participants in nephrology clinical trials, including coordinating study visits.
• Assist with recruitment, retention and timely collection of accurate clinical and research data.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Maintain detailed clinical and research documentation in line with ethical and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
• Valid NSW driver licence (or equivalent) and willingness to travel as required.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain ICH‑GCP R3 certification.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge.
