Reporting Team Lead – Regulatory Reporting

About the role

Tabcorp is looking for a Team Leader, Regulatory Reporting within its Financial Crime Operations team. You will lead a team of specialists and work closely with Financial Crime teams so that investigative insights are turned into high-quality regulatory submissions. The role suits someone who enjoys developing people, driving quality outcomes and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Regulatory Reporting Specialists, managing workloads, priorities and performance to achieve team objectives
• Oversee the review of unusual activity investigations and ensure Suspicious Matter Reports are accurate, consistent and lodged within required timeframes
• Provide technical guidance and escalation support on complex, sensitive or high-risk investigations and reporting decisions
• Partner with Finance Crime operational teams to support case management and timely handovers
• Drive quality assurance and improve reporting processes and controls
• Identify emerging financial crime trends and systemic issues, share insights and contribute to strategic initiatives and regulatory change

Required profile

• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring teams in financial crime, AML/CTF, risk, compliance or regulatory reporting
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, financial crime controls and regulatory reporting requirements
• Experience preparing or reviewing clear, accurate and defensible regulatory submissions, including Suspicious Matter Reports
• Sound risk-based judgement and strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A practical approach to improving processes, attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information and competing deadlines
