Reliever Security Officer - Monash University

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is recruiting full-time reliever security officers to work across its Monash University campuses. The role involves keeping people safe and buildings secure while supporting students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols to keep people safe and buildings secure
• Escort individuals to and from various locations around the site as required
• Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required
• Give clear directions and assistance to students, staff and visitors so they can navigate the campus efficiently
• Write reports on incidents or unusual activity, documenting all information
• Communicate calmly, clearly and effectively with staff, students and visitors

Required profile

• Full Australian working rights
• Valid Victorian Security Licence
• Unrestricted Victorian driver licence
• Valid employee working with children check, or willingness to obtain one
• Current first aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them
• High level of fitness, able to walk up to 15-20 km per day
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working across multiple university campuses
