About the role

The Relationship Manager for the Business & Private Bank in Adelaide will manage and grow a portfolio of diversified wholesale customers, with a focus on the health and medical sector. The role drives portfolio growth through customer acquisition, cross‑selling and referrals while delivering tailored financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act in the best interest of customers and apply a customer‑centric approach.
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customers' business and financial needs.
• Provide appropriate solutions and collaborate with product partners and internal specialists.
• Design, structure and execute deals in partnership with relevant teams.
• Build and maintain external networks, focusing on circles of influence and origination.
• Manage a diversified wholesale customer portfolio, including credit risk oversight.
• Drive new‑to‑bank business and grow whole‑of‑customer relationships.
• Exercise relationship credit approval discretion where appropriate.
• Coach and develop an Assistant Manager direct report.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships in the health and medical sectors.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse wholesale clients.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of banking products.
• Track record of identifying and acting on cross‑selling and referral opportunities.
• Experience in structuring and negotiating complex deals.
• Sound credit risk management and decision‑making skills.
• Leadership capability to coach and develop junior staff.
