Relationship Manager - Business Banking

About the role

ANZ Business & Private Bank is looking for a Relationship Manager in Brisbane to manage a growth-focused portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses. The role is a strong focus on business development and proactive acquisition: identifying and winning new-to-bank opportunities, deepening existing relationships and growing market share. It is a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with customers and provide tailored banking solutions that support their business objectives
• Identify and convert new business opportunities to grow the portfolio
• Develop and maintain internal and external networks to support deal origination, design and execution
• Structure and deliver customer solutions with product specialists and key stakeholders
• Manage credit, operational and compliance risks proactively
• Apply Relationship Credit Approval Discretion where appropriate and make sound credit decisions

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and grow long-term customer relationships
• Experience assessing, structuring and managing credit facilities, with a sound understanding of credit risk principles
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen, with a growth mindset
• An understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management and prudent banking principles
• A proactive, resilient approach to business development
