Rehabilitation Counsellor

About the role

Altius, a provider of rehabilitation services founded in 2001, is hiring a Rehabilitation Counsellor for its Rehabilitation Services team. Working from the Campbelltown office, the role identifies and addresses the physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors that affect a worker's ability to return to work, and provides practical strategies to address them. The position is full-time, hybrid and paid $75,000-$100,000.

Key responsibilities

• Complete return-to-work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme.
• Provide holistic support to restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through assessments such as Initial Needs Assessment, Functional Capacity Evaluation, Workplace Assessment and Vocational Assessment.
• Deliver vocational counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training and upskilling.
• Collaborate and liaise with injured workers, employers, medical practitioners and other allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Associate or full ASORC membership as Rehabilitation Counsellor, or AHPRA registration as Provisional or Registered Psychologist.
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in occupational rehabilitation.
• Relevant psychology or rehabilitation counsellor qualification.
• Current driver's licence and access to own transport.
