Rehabilitation Counsellor

About the role

Altius, a provider of rehabilitation services founded in 2001, is hiring a Rehabilitation Counsellor in Wollongong on a full-time hybrid basis. You will identify and address the physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors affecting a worker's return to work, and manage complete return-to-work cases under the WorkCover scheme.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complete return-to-work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme.
• Provide holistic support to restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through assessments such as Initial Needs Assessment, Functional Capacity Evaluation, Workplace Assessment and Vocational Assessment.
• Deliver vocational counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training and upskilling.
• Collaborate and liaise with injured workers, employers, medical practitioners and other allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Associate or full ASORC membership as Rehabilitation Counsellor.
• Relevant Rehabilitation Counsellor qualification.
• Current driver's licence and access to your own transport.
